Fundraising FAQs

How are fundraising incentive prizes earned?

Fundraising incentives are a great way to encourage participants to rally support from their networks and raise much-needed funds in support of the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

Incentive prizing will be awarded based on the total amount raised per participant based on their individual participant page fundraising totals.

Our teddy bear incentive is cumulative and can be earned in addition to higher incentive levels. Incentives over $250 are not cumulative and will be leveled-up and upgraded to the next incentive item.

How do donations support the Hospital?

Proceeds from this year’s Teddy Bear Fun Fest will help deliver world-class care to kids and families at the existing Stollery, while also bringing to life a new stand-alone Stollery for the future. Because, when care has No Bounds, there’s no limit to what our kids – and our community – can achieve.

How is Rogers Birdies for Kids Presented by Altalink supporting Teddy Bear Fun Fest?

This year, your fundraising will be matched up to 50% by Rogers Birdies for Kids Presented by Altalink.

Originally the Shaw Charity Classic, Rogers Birdies for Kids Presented by Altalink is a golf tournament that raises money in Calgary each summer. Funds collected are used to support local charities and any charity can apply for the program. This year, we’re thrilled to be one of the charity beneficiaries.

There is NO minimum amount that must be raised to receive matching.

After our fundraising deadline on May 31, we will submit our final Teddy Bear Fun Fest fundraising amount to Rogers and receive matching funds in the fall of 2026 based on their 2026 matching tier structure:

TIER I
FIRST $20,000 – 50% matched

TIER II
NEXT $30,000 – 15% matched

TIER III
NEXT $200,000 – 5% matched

Learn more about the Rogers Charity Classic here.

*The Calgary Shaw Charity Classic Foundation reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute alternative matching percentages for those outlined above.
