I’m joining in the Teddy Bear FUN to help Stollery kids from my backyard!

I'm participating in Teddy Bear Fun Fest on May 11, 2024 at Rundle Park. In addition to a 5 km fun run/walk/roll, I'm ready to enjoy a day full of FUN and FUNdraising in support of Stollery kids.

The Stollery is a cause that's near and dear to my heart. With your support, we'll help kids from backyards across central and northern Alberta access some of the best physical and mental health care anywhere in the world – and have a ton of fun while we're doing it!

Sunday 7th Apr
The Emmy Strong Initiative was inspired by and created in memory of my niece, Emmy Valentina Carter who lived her life to the fullest everyday. She overcame 4 major heart surgeries and many other medical challenges during her 8.5 months of life before passing away suddenly. Half of her life was spent at the Alberta Children’s Hospital and the other half was at the Stollery Children’s Hospital. Emmy was and always will be a heart warrior full of strength, courage, bravery and resiliency. The purpose of the Emmy Strong Initiative is to keep Emmy’s legacy alive and eventually form a foundation to help these two hospitals continue to provide the specialty care that they do and the continued resources for children and families, through various programs and initiatives. This fundraiser is to help kids in the Stollery Hospital. With your support, we'll help kids from backyards across central and northern Alberta access some of the best physical and mental health care anywhere in the world. The Stollery Hospital is a cause that's near and dear to our hearts since our beloved Emmy’s time there.
